About This Course

This course provides an introduction to the core principles of sustainable engineering and life cycle thinking. It focuses on integrating environmental, economic, and social aspects into engineering decisions. Students will explore key topics such as sustainability frameworks, circular economy, resource management, and the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology to assess and enhance the sustainability of products, processes, and systems.

Course Staff

Dr. Jerin Joseph

Dr. Jerin Joseph is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET). He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and an M.Tech in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering from Nation Institute of Technology (NIT), Surat. His areas of expertise include Sustainable Construction, Geotechnical Engineering, and Ground Improvement, with a strong academic and research background in these domains.

Ms. Mareena George

Ms. Mareena George is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET). She holds an M.Tech in Structural Engineering and is currently pursuing  PhD in Advanced Concrete Technology. Her areas of expertise include Advanced Concrete Technology, Design of Steel Structures, and Sustainable Materials. She has been working in the teaching profession for the past 13 years. She is actively engaged in teaching and academic development within these domains

Ms. Anagha R

Ms. Anagha R is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET). She holds an M.Tech in Construction Engineering and Management and specializes in Sustainable Concrete, Construction Materials, and Construction Management. She is dedicated to teaching and guiding students in these fields and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Sustainable Construction Materials at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut.
